About the Webmaster. I am the Choral Director of St. Clement's on the hill Anglican Church in Stafford, Brisbane Queensland. I have a choir of about 15 adults who meet regularly to take part in festival services and approximately once per month. More details of what and who we are can be found on our St. Clement's Choir website. I also direct a concert choir, The ABM Choristers, we have a growing membership of 50 to 60 members. The function of the choir is to worship God and to raise funds for the ABM which is the missionary wing of the Anglican Church in Australia. The members come from a very wide catchment area, hence we perform only once or twice a year.

I studied music at Kingham Hill School (Oxfordshire UK) for a short time under the composer Bryan Kelly who moved on to greater things.

My first appointment was more out of necessity than want for the College I attended (c1976). The Deputy organist of Londonderry Cathedral also attending Greystoke College (a small institution of about a dozen pre-clerical students - sadly no longer functioning ) was looking for a replacement to take over his roll in music. He heard me bashing out the Minuette from the Gothique Suite on a piano and so I got the job. Something I did not really want to do. But the bug caught hold and I am still doing it.

Other Appointments have been at

St. Simon and St. Jude, Castlethorpe (UK)

St. James the Great, Hanslope (UK)

The Abbey Church of St. Mary and St. Helena, Elstow  (UK)

All Saints, Kempston, (UK)
And then I moved to Australia.

During my time at St. James the Great after a collaboratory service with the other churches in the Deanery I helped to form the Newport Pagnell Deanery Choirs Festival where the choirs of the deanery get together for a well rehearsed Choral Evensong. This has been so popular now that after 10 years it is still going strong with the addition of a concert for presentation pieces.

After my move to Elstow Abbey, sadly I was no longer involved with festival, but I enjoyed my time there and have many fond memories, the rewards being the excellent organ and choir. Elstow has the distinction as being the birthplace of John Bunyan author of The Pilgrims Progress. The book is based on places still seen in the area.

After spending a few months at Kempston All Saints I moved to Brisbane Australia. Unfortunately there are very few choral positions, and even less positions vacant. And eventually I found a place at St. Clement's Anglican Church. No pipe organ. But a Rogers Digital Organ.

It is intended that the music on this website can be freely shared without worry. The music is for the greater glory of God. Please enjoy and feedback comments to me either in the guest book or by email to RoDeby Music
